The borders of the Oceans, as determined by the IHO, run up with the borders of seas, gulfs, and bays. Panama borders the pacific ocean and the Caribbean Sea, same with Mexico and Colombia. Norway is in the North Sea, and does not actually touch the Arctic Ocean.

the Caribbean Sea is just a part of the Atlantic Ocean, not a separated entity

@Rossipotamus: The IHO in their Limits of Oceans and Seas does take that position as you say. But it's not the only reasonable position to take. For instance, the European Marine Gazetteer take the position that all seas, gulfs, bays, etc. belong to one of the oceans as they show in their hierarchy: http://www.marbef.org/data/gazetteer.php?p=browser Either position is reasonable: if you take IHO definitions you end up with this quiz, if you take EMG definitions you end up with this quiz plus the additional answers that andr5036 wants to include.

@Patricio: you're taking the EMG position on whether oceans contain seas, gulfs, bays, etc. You're not wrong, but Rossipotamus is apparently using the IHO definitions in which case the Caribbean Sea borders the Atlantic Ocean and is not a part of it. Someone should make the EMG version of this quiz.

France should definitely be on here though. French Guiana borders the Atlantic while Reunion is in the Indian Ocean. Both are integral parts of France, so if Alaska counts they should too.

@ tahitiwahini: I think that quiz has been made. *goes to search* http://www.sporcle.com/games/Andrew1992/tonsofnicknames and http://www.sporcle.com/games/Rave/two_oceans and: for just Atlantic and Pacific: http://www.sporcle.com/games/Isstvan/atlanticpacific @ Rossipotamus: Since the version with the other definition already exists, I think it's good you've done this one. Good quiz, but I'd make it one minute.
