	i think the whole giving the host country an automatic # 1 seed is bull$hit. isn't it enough that they're automatically in the tournament? (and i'm not just saying this due to today's draw. south africa shouldn't have gotten it last summer, austria and switzerland shouldn't have had it in 2008, etc.) the "group of death" will make for some great games, but i'd rather see the good games in the knockout rounds, not watch whatever 2 mediocre teams come out of there get stomped on by group b's teams. it's times like these i f-ing hate uefa and fifa in general. blatter and platini are incompetent crooks

	I predict Russia and Czech Republic to advance from Group A, along with Germany and Netherlands from Group B, Spain and Croatia from Group C, and France and England from Group D. It's absolutely crazy how much talent is concentrated in Groups B and C. In those two groups, only Ireland rank lower than 11th worldwide! No matter what happens, three giants are going down in the group stage. But I think Germany will prevail in their group and the tournament as a whole.

	I can't be the only one to notice it, since their last Euro Cup win Greece is the total opposite of Portugal. Especially the World Cup group with Argentina, South Korea and Nigeria.

	In Euro 2008, the Netherlands were predicted to go down in their Group of Death including World Champions Italy and World finalists France. Instead, they smashed them both and after the second match already, qualified themselves for the quarters. Which they then lost against the much lower ranked Russia. Only goes to say: regardless of rankings, there's still a lot that can happen. And Sporcle will be there to make trivial quizzes out of it.

	In many ways the Euros are a stronger tournament than the world cup. No real whipping boys there, even group A which has the 2004 winner, 2004 semi finalist and 2008 semi finalist.

	I can see England reaching the final, they always hope they can win it but they are always extremely overated. This time though I think they've got very good chances. Also Greece will qualify from group A.

	Italy will not get through Group C, as France will not get through Group D. This is an Italy team that has lost to Scotland, and a France team that has lost all talent it had once. If Ireland can outdo Croatia though, they could end up in the semis, as they will probably have one of England or Sweden (more likely Sweden), and they are not the strongest teams. But come on the THREE LIONS!
