Billups' is Mr. Big Shot, and Wilkens' is The Human Highlight Reel

I've never heard anyone refer to Shaq as "The Big Cactus". "The Diesel" is much more common for him.

@ammizny: i agree that shaq diesel is alot more common for oneal, but the big cactus is definitely well known. its why in the hilarious commercial with shaq playing scrabble he puts down the word "shaqtus"

I'd rather see The Big Aristotle or Diesel, but the Big Cactus is A-OK.

The Big Cactus was from the trade to Phoenix. At the press conference he announced that as his new nickname.

The "last team" hint sort of threw me for some of them-- it didn't feel right putting Rodman down for the Mavericks, for instance, given his short term there (almost forgot Wilkins til the end, too). Obviously the nicknames stand, but I'd have preferred the teams they're best known for playing for. Still a really fun quiz.

Agree with emteez. Who associates Wilkins with the Magic?

I would also change Jordan to His Airness. I know Air Jordan is probably more popular, but it gives away the answer.

I know it's a very minor difference and won't likely change anyone's score, but I believe Wilkins was better known as the Human Highlight Film (not Reel).

Big Cactus is a no go... Diesel is probably the best, but even Big Aristotle is better.

@csl- two people disagree with each other (you and 500days of andrew), I'm not sure which it is. The "last team" hint, I agree that's tricky, but I can't really just write what team they're best known for playing because that's just an opinion. Shaq has a million nicknames, I didn't know which one to chose.

The diesel would be much better for Shaq. I've never heard the big cactus before now.

I don't think you should use big cactus since he's not in Arizona anymore. That would be a great nickname if he was still in Phoenix, but "cactus" doesn't make sense anymore because he's in Cleveland. You could use Big Witness Protection, which he announced as his new nickname, or you could just use some better known nickname such as Diesel.

"The Big Fundamental" will forever be my favorite nickname because it describes Duncan so perfectly.

at least putting them on a team they are well known for playing for. for some players, that's easy (Wilkins- Hawks, Gervin, Spurs) for guys who are still playing or retired more recently, it can be a little difficult. Still, except for Shaq, I don't think there is anyone on this list who is really associated with multiple teams (Drexler and Maravich maybe)

Ok, but I think it's just too much work and too opinionated. Last team is just more straight-forward, it would be same for each player. There wouldn't be any doubt this way.

This could be great if expanded. Some suggestions - The Big O, The Mailman, AK-47, Round Mound of Rebound/Sir Charles, Mr. Clutch/The Logo, Tiny, CP3, White Chocolate, or Skip to My Lou (never an amazing pro, but a streetball legend).

I thought it was "Dennis the Rebounding Menace" Rodman.
