Tougher than the first one. I made some comments on that quiz that I won't bother repeating here, but I hope you take a look at them. I'm interested in what source you're using to define acceptable words, because I found nine that the quiz wouldn't take :)

There are lots of Proper Nouns that will not be accepted, it is hard for to judge what words are proper nouns in some cases so post them up and we can see what's what :P!

Could the answers be re coded so you get 9 points for the 9 letter word and only 4 points for the 4 letter words? Would make it a better quiz...

That is a cool idea, but I can't think of how it can be implemented :/

Good fun quiz. Missed some easy ones, but did spot 'gnosis', one of my fave words. (Not sure if it counts tho, being from the Greek.) Thanks.

Why isn't orcs accepted? It's a valid word AND it uses the central 'R'.

Noir and rocs are missing. Don't know about orcs, not in my dictionary but perhaps scrabble-legal.

Agree on orcs. I don't see why scorings isn't valid either? A scoring can be a noun (mark on something) so can be pluralised. It needn't be a verb.

Can someone please explain this quiz to me? I don't get the rules at all. "Must use central letter." Central letter of what?

@matthewcperkins: In the game note, it says that you must use the central letter "R". None of the words you listed use the letter "R". Don't feel bad, I originally tried multiple words like "coin" and "sing" and then spent forever wondering why they weren't being accepted until I realized my mistake. Hope this helps! :)

@Stiggles- Iris doesn't work as there's only one I in the grid, Cross does work.

This needed more work before it was published. There are still valid words that are not accepted (scorings, rocs, orcs ...)

Great quiz! One suggestion: have an authority, such as OED, for words that will be counted as English words. For example, I'm sure that there are authorities that accept "noir" but not "nori," but it's not immediately obvious. An authority would solve it.

Awesome...part of the 6% who got ring but not rings. I guess I assumed I already typed it? At least, that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
