	I think the traditional Sporcle format would work better for this quiz, with Ohio and Pennsylvania as bonus answers.

	I would also prefer the traditional Sporcle format for this quiz, but I don't see any reason why Ohio and Pennsylvania should be bonus answers. The game note clearly states that water borders count, and both Ohio and Pennsylvania have obvious water borders with Canada over Lake Erie.

	If Ohio and Pennsylvania are bonus answers, then so should Michigan be, since it doesn't share a land border with Canada. I actually answered all the states with land borders, then saw that there were three still left, and came back to Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

	Even with the note, this quiz was a little sneaky. It never occurred to me to read the directions for such a seemingly straightforward quiz. @scoottay, if you look at Google Maps, you'll see why Wisconsin doesn't have a water border with Canada.

	My guess on the Wisconsin status is that its waters technically do not border Canada's. If Ohio's territory includes the half of Lake Erie on its north coast, that directly borders Canadian waters. Wisconsin's territorial waters border Minnesota's and M!ch!g@n's, but not Canada's.

	Wisconsin's water border doesn't touch Canada. Look on Google Maps, they only border Minnesota and Michigan to the north (thanks Upper Peninsula). On the east, they just border with Michigan.

	@neverspeakaword...Michigan and Ontario actually do share a land border on Seaway Island at the mouth of the St. Claire River. Google Seaway Island and take a look at the southern tip of the island, then scratch your head wondering how the hell that happened.

	@neverspeakaword I agree that there are no land borders, but part of the border is formed by the Detroit river, and nobody disputes that Iowa borders Illinois. Ohio and Pennsylvania are more of a matter of semantics, they could legitimately be argued either way, and it's a proud Sporcle tradition to make things bonus answers when they fall into a gray area.

	my friends and I just last week had a long argument over Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. But if you find a map with the lake borders (as definied by the US Government) those are correct--Ohio and Penn yes, Wisconsin no)

	bmo1616, how do you figure there are too many discrepancies? Ohio and Pennsylvania both have borders with Canada, yes both are water borders, however they are still borders. Michigan also borders Canada, with several direct points of entry, including one of the largest international bridges, connecting Detroit and Windsor. With the easy ability to cross into canada by boat from all three states, and by vehicle and foot through Michigan, I see no discrepancies.

	Wisconsin should count by your goofy definition of border, as directly across from the lake to Canada, but really it, Ohio, and Pennsylvania do not border Canada.

	Being neither American nor Canadian, I assumed the fact that I missed Pennsylvania and Ohio meant I was just forgetting where they were or something, but it seems I was remembering them correctly. Also, If water borders do count, then is there anything to stop Indiana and Illinois being included. Can't you get from them to Canada without touching any other states?
