Good time limit: just right to make it really hard to finish!

The hardest part for me was figuring out which one I'd forgotten. (It was phosphorus.)
Sep 7th, 2012 at 00:23 GMT
typing -ium ftw!

Ium ... ahh, now let's begin
Sep 8th, 2012 at 16:23 GMT
I have to say..."ium" really helped...
Sep 8th, 2012 at 16:32 GMT
Surely the only elements quiz where seaborgium and neodymium are in the Top 3 guessed.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 16:32 GMT
Got all of them except neon, of all things. "ium" and "num" really do help a lot.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 17:01 GMT
Most science quizzes I start by thinking "I...um..." This is the first one where that helped me.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 17:39 GMT
Only quiz where more people got Darmstadtium than Lead.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 18:11 GMT
It's so funny that wolfram is named tungsten in English and not in Sweden even though the name come from Sweden :) (Tungsten = heavy stone)
Sep 8th, 2012 at 19:35 GMT
Sweeped... ironically I got tin last. figures.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 20:07 GMT
so ~10% of people did not think to type "ium"?!? that surprised me
Sep 8th, 2012 at 20:44 GMT
Got them all except for... carbon. wow.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 21:49 GMT
I had no bismuth attempting this quiz. I feel like a total boron. I was really sulfuring there, since all the elements without "-ium" that were once in my brain now argon.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 22:10 GMT
Wow, how did I not think of ium o.0
Sep 8th, 2012 at 22:25 GMT
The weirdest bar graph of results I have seen I think.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 22:38 GMT
This is a really cool quiz.
Sep 8th, 2012 at 22:49 GMT
This is basically the same as the "Elements which don't end with M" quiz, you just type "ium" and "num" first.
Sep 9th, 2012 at 01:25 GMT
First, type in "ium." Then play the Tom Lehrer song in your head. Easy Japanesy.
Sep 9th, 2012 at 01:35 GMT
jago706: did it, and finished quiz with 1:12 to go.
Sep 9th, 2012 at 03:00 GMT
Got 'em all... not often does Tin give me more trouble than Roentgenium
Sep 9th, 2012 at 04:29 GMT
this must have been a pain in the butt to make....all of the variations that have to be accepted for elements like mendelevium alone would be too much for me. major props
Sep 9th, 2012 at 17:03 GMT
-ium was a big confidence booster.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 04:27 GMT
So 2% of the people who got Yttrium, could not find Flerovium. Who things of the 3 letter YTT but IUM never occurs to them?
Sep 10th, 2012 at 10:05 GMT
Omg, when it it hit me (IUM) I just had to play again; much higher score, but promptly forgetting Hydrogen.
Sep 10th, 2012 at 23:40 GMT
Whoever scored 73-77 in this quiz: I salute you.
Sep 14th, 2012 at 17:45 GMT
I'm down with YTT.
Oct 2nd, 2012 at 10:20 GMT
Fun fact: the fastest solution is only 26 entries. Here's one way to do it: ANT ARG BIS CAR COB COP GEN GOL INE IUM KRY LEA MAN MER MOL NEO NIC PHO RAD RON SIL SUL TIN TUN XEN ZIN. Anyone fancy creating a mnemonic for that?
Oct 22nd, 2012 at 16:51 GMT
was playing for a full minute before i remember ium #facepalm
Jan 6th, 2013 at 18:42 GMT
Damn! I can name all the elements in full in 3:30 but not by 3-letter combos in 4:00!
Feb 4th, 2013 at 04:30 GMT
Pretty sure the minimum you can do this in is 26. After IUM, the ones you gotta worry about are INE, TIN, NUM, ANT, GEN, RON, NIC, and SIL. That gives 101, and the remaining 17 have no overlaps so you'd have to get them individually with whatever.

Ah damn didn't notice Hecuba. Haha.
