Please accept Cote dIvoire or cote divoire without accents. I could only enter the country as (my own personal preference) Ivory Coast.
It's interesting how what you might think would be stable is actually subject to many changes. Ireland, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Myanmar, Bhutan and Nepal are no longer in the Empire and Commonwealth, but Rwanda and Mozambique are. The quiz in 1931, 1961, 1971 and 1981 would look (quite apart from name changes) rather different. Some countries (e.g. UK, Botswana, S. Africa) would have no neighbours outside the Commonwealth, while Zimbabwe would be the Commonwealth country that had Mozambique for a non-Commonwealth neighbour, instead of the other way around.
It also took me several tries to get them all because I (face-palm) forgot about South Sudanese independence outside the Commonwealth (I'd kept typing in Sudan and wondering why it didn't register.) |
