Good quiz. Not sure if it's physically feasible to type them all in a minute, though -- even when you take out all the initial "the"s, one would need to be able to type 118 wpm...

Maybe you should accept "2 Gentlemen of Verona."

I understand you not including Henry IV Part One and Two and Henry VI Part One, Two and Three as separate entries, but since they are actually completely separate plays, could you at least indicate that (like "Henry IV (1&2)" or something)? It's just the Henry IV parts are often performed individually and the Henry VI parts are believed to be written with differing co-authors and possibly years apart and wow I sound like a huge nerd.

If there is anywhere in the world its ok to sound like a huge nerd, I hope Sporcle comment sections on Shakespeare quizzes is it.

It would be more fun as a TWO minute blitz...that would give you a shot at all of them anyway!

No kidding--or even three. At only one minute, it's more of a typing test than a test of knowledge.

it's really boring when you know there is no way you can finish one of these no matter how fast you type.

The whole point of a 60 Second Blitz is to see how many you can name in one minute. It's nearly impossible to get all the answers in most 60 Second Blitz quizzes. As with many of them, there's a longer version of this one if you want more time:

About 30 seconds in, the play 'Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead' got stuck in my head despite the fact it was written 400 years after Shakespeare and would be the worst title to think of when trying a 60 second blitz

Should really take Arabic numerals in place of the Roman numerals- I thought I had something wrong when "Richard 3" wouldn't go.

@catcherj: no way. They are literally never published that way, so it shouldn't be allowable on a quiz that is both true to Shakespeare and dependent upon fast keystrokes.

@catcherj: I initially thought the same thing, but then I realized that the titles are written with the Roman numerals, not the Arabic ones. It's correct not to take the Arabic numbers. Cost me a few seconds, too, but it's still fun.

Hmm... I first tried "scottish play" for Macbeth, but it didn't work. For us theater geeks out there, would you please accept that as well? :) Thanks.

This would have been a lot easier if the darn pop up ad didn't make it so I can't type for the first full three seconds.

@White - it would seem not, tho at the moment, the stats page is showing 0.7% have got 30-34 right! My last 11 seconds were spent trying to get my fingers to spell Cleopatra correctly ... only to find I'd put an h in Antony! :o)
