Some inaccuracies. The capital of Myanmar is Naypyidaw, also England and Scotland aren't countries, it's just United Kingdom.

And considering that the current capital of Myanmar is Naypyidaw, the most obvious former capital is Yangon. It's just confusing.

Cool, changing the errors. @johnnydepp - main column says country/constituent country, hence Eng & Scot

You should also accept Kolkata for Calcutta. In addition, New York City was the capital of the US for a period of time; that should also be an acceptable answer.

cheers wade, changed calcutta. Rules say 'previous capital' hence NYC not being accepted.

@ Rhysd007 if it is only previous capital then I think Norway's answer should be Bergen, since it was the capital between Trondheim and Oslo/Christiania

I think you should accept 'Rangoon' for 'Yangon'. Also I don't think it's obvious that "previous capital" means "immediately previous capital".

At least according to Wikipedia, the previous capital of Scotland was Scone, which is near Perth but not the same place.

The capital of New Zealand was originally Russell, so you should probably accept that as well

Karachi is as well, if not better known, as Rawalpindi as a former capital. You should consider making it a variant. Same for Colchester, which was a capital of England, and Dunfermline for Scotland. Yangon is more often known as Rangoon too.
