| I agree about 1820, but if I put "none" or "unopposed" people would pitch a fit. And, as far as the Electoral College was concerned, Adams/Rush was the runner-up in that election, even if they didn't intend it.
As for 1824, I totally forgot about Calhoun (I've changed it to accept both him and Macon). I'm aware that Jackson had a plurality in both the popular and electoral vote, but since Adams actually served the term, history has traditionally considered him the "winner." |
