| Reasons why the source for this has less brain cells than Gilbert Arenas:
1) It includes all star selections but not MVP's. (Because, you know, a bunch of people in China who can type "Yao" billions of times know more than the Associated Press.)
2) Height is a discrediting factor. (Let's punish Dirk because he's got 4 inches on Lebron.)
3) There is 0 consideration of character. (Goodbye LeBron, Vince, TMac and Arenas.)
4) Who actually sits around and figures out percentages for this? Everyone taking this quiz, who has even a remote knowledge of the NBA, knows the following:
a) Shaq, Kobe, Duncan, Garnett, Iverson, Kidd, Nash are all locks. b) Nowitzki, Pierce, Allen, and probably Chauncey, are about as close as you can get without being a lock.
c) Anyone born in the 80's still has lots to prove.
d) A hall of fame in a league that is already so elite to being with (less than 300 players, the next closest would be the NHL or MLB, with more than double that amount,) really doesn't indicate that much. Anyone who stars even to a lesser extent (Dumars) or for a brief period of time (Petrovic) is likely to get in. Therefore its kind of an irrelevant debate since most of these guys will get in. Though who am I to chirp it - clearly I clicked on the quiz to try it just like everyone else. |
