| Excalibur was great fun for a while, hardly an X-book at all, and had its own, fun-loving spirit. A Claremont book to start. Anyone just trying to get into Excalibur should start at the beginning and stop either with Lockheed, or with Mimic (not that all the books covered under Muir Island recruits are equal, it becomes more of an X-book and suffers greatly for it, but if one goes past the Claremont run, he might as well finish the original series.) Avoid everything after the original series like the plague. |
