The traces of colonialism are strong here.

While French is an official language in all of Canada (as you know by even asking the question), I don't think Toronto or Vancouver should be included. It's only spoken by a very small minority in both places. For example more people speak the Chinese and Indian languages in both cities. But the name of the quiz might lead people to type them in and be annoyed when they don't come up. My suggestion is to either rename the quiz or add them as bonus answers. Or...?

Bonus answers is a good idea, but there seems to be a glitch with the 'Hide 3rd Column until answered' option that makes them not appear. So if I could I would make Vancouver and Toronto bonus answers but it doesn't work! Anyone knows how to fix this? I added Marseilles btw.

How is Algiers not on here? It's definitely bigger than some of the cities in this quiz.

Algiers isn't on there because Algeria's official language is Arabic, not French.

I'd say to only include Canadian cities in *provinces* which have French as an official language - that is, Quebec and New Brunswick. So, yeah, I think you're fine.

Good quiz indeed. You should do this with English, Spanish and Portuguese as well. I'm not too au-fait with how popular "Bayou French" is but could New Orleans be an acceptable answer (even as a bonus?)

I was guessing New Orleans myself also, since French is an official language of Louisiana.

Quartz, that glitch appears only when pre-testing a quiz, as far as I know. Once it's contributed, bonus answers work fine.

@Greenock: A Spanish version is already in the making! I will do more languages if people want me to. I had no idea about the Louisiana thing btw, but New Orleans doesn't make the cut populationwise anyway (1,1 mln). Maybe I'll add a few cities to the quiz when I get back from work, so all cities with a population of >1,000,000 are included.

@Onno: I see; I'll try to fix that too this afternoon, thanks!
