	You might want to be more specific with the lake question: are you referring to area or volume when you say 'largest'?

	I don't think the question for the states is accurate. I always heard that Virginia was named for Queen Elizabeth I (the Virgin queen). Wikipedia notes that and also the suggestion that it may have come from a native American word or name. Most of the sources I found with a quick google says Virginia was named in 1584 and the first English child (Virginia Dare) was born in 1587. You could tweak the question to say "Which state inspired the name of the first English child ..." because that seems to be a more accurate reflection of its history. (Behindthename.com was one of the sources I consulted.)
