Was thinking that Namibia would make the uranium list with the Rossing Mine, but apparently it's number 6. A fun quiz.

Good quiz! Fun and interesting. *SPOILER* It's interesting that after the four big obvious producers, USA, China, Russia, Brazil and Australia, the next most frequent answer is Peru! I never knew it was such a mineral rich country. Another thing sporcle has taught me. :)

@joebobs: It is my patriotic duty to inform you that Canada ties USA with eight entries, more than doubles brazil, beats Russia (and loses pretty solidly to China and Australia, but oh well. So, they should replace Brazil on that list.

I found it interesting that, of the eight categories that the USA was in, it never topped any of the list.

Copper. I always wondered what the point of having a free trade agreement with Chile was. Now I know.

@theregno- darn i thought i was gonna be the first to comment on kazakhstan being "best in world" and "#1 exporter of potassium" ("all other countries have inferior potassium!"). well done............ on a side note: a geography quiz where "kyrgyztsan" is finally not an answer!

I always like these "countries of production" ones, they're very informative. I was surprised to see that Peru is the provider of so many of these items ... also surprised that South Africa was not present on the "diamond" list.
