| The figure of 400,000 for Argentina seems a bit exaggerated. That means 1% of the population. I doubt that if you stop 100 people in a street in Buenos Aires you'll find one who speaks German (let alone in the majority of provinces). The problem with this kind of statistics is: how well must one speak language X to be counted as an X-speaker?
