I thought the Earth's core had a significant amount of nickel in it—am I wrong?

Nickel is thought to be in the core, but the best estimate for Fe content is 80%, and there are also thought to be about 10% of lighter elements, so all-told, nickel would make up about 10% of the core. But it is so rare elsewhere that all told, Winter (the source I went by) puts it below 1.0%.
