| I know it's nit-picky,but isn't that what sporcle is all about? Bohemia was never the name of the Czech republic. It is the name of one region of the Czech Republic, and also that of a former Kingdom which included the territory of the current Czech republic, but so much intevened between the demise of that kingdom and the formation of the current Czech republic that it seems inappropriate to say that it is a former name for the country. Temasek was the name for a city which pre-dates Singapore in the same location. It was never the name of the Republic of Singapore. The vice royalty of New Spain incorporated not just Mexico but also, Guatemala, Honduras, Belize, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and more than half a dozen US States, many of which were defined as separate kingdoms from the Kingdom of Mexico, so again a questionable choice.
