Why do people continue to make quizzes that have already been made a thousand times?
Aug 4th, 2010 at 22:17 GMT
because they are wrong

There is only one T in JULIET. You need to change your colors. Very hard on the eyes!!!

Indeed, see http://www.sporcle.com/games/tags/phonetic .

THEIRS 2 TS IN JULIETT IN AVIATION! In Romeo & Juliet theirs only 1 t but in the phonetic alphabet theirs 2 ts. look it up
Aug 6th, 2010 at 17:54 GMT
Okay, but for the sake of your quiz-takers I think it's only fair to accept one t. Especially since the whole point of the phoenetic alphabet is that you don't need to be able to spell the words, just say them. Also, I think "whisky" (without the e) ought to be an acceptable spelling, as the dictionary lists both spellings as correct.

Also, when you said "theirs 2 ts in juliett..." (in all capitals, which was a nice touch) you mean to say "there's 2 ts..." so I think of all people you would opt not to be too strict on the spelling errors.

it is very unfair to penalise people for missing a t that most people wouldnt know should be there
