Saints are named after the city of New Orleans. The Capitals/Nationals/Redskins and Wizards are all named after the city of Washington DC.

Tampa Bay teams, New Jersey Nets, Indiana Pacers and Colorado Rockies should be on the list, too.

Can you name some Professional Sports Teams, some of which are named after cities and some of which are not. Bonus points if you can figure out which one that is not named after a city is on the quiz but shows up for the wrong non-city. That should be the name and description of this quiz.

Possibly the worst quiz I've seen here that doesn't have any spelling mistakes. So...congratulations, I guess.

Florida Marlins should be on the list. That one frustrated me after typing it 5 times. Also, technically, the New York Islanders are named for the state and not New York city but I can understand if you don't want to add them.

They are now called the Miami Marlins

But Tampa Bay is not the city, Tampa is. And the team is not the Bay Buccaneers. See, joebro2?

And, I agree, the Washington D. C. teams should be added as Washington is an odd District not a city.

No, Washington is a city. It just isn't in a state, it's in a district (District of Columbia). But Washington itself is NOT a district/state, it is a city, just like any other city.

Agree about NY Islanders and Florida Marlins, at least as bonus answers.
