| The circle of fifths deals with key signatures, not just enharmonic notes. It makes sense why you can't have G#, D#, and A# (and so forth)...but it would probably be easier to tell why if this quiz had the circle format.
When dealing with major keys, you start the circle with C at the 12:00 position. Moving clockwise, you can show the sharps moving all the way to C# Major (at the 7:00 position). In the key of C# Major, everything is already sharp...so if you were to continue with G# Major, you'd have to have a 'X' (double sharp) in its key signature (which is impractical and problematic). The same is true of flats when you go counterclockwise: Cb Maj is all flat, so Fb Maj would need a 'bb' (double flat).
