| I have thought about all of the countries you mentioned. First of all, a lot of you mention countries with islands (Denmark, Ecuador, etc.) I decided not to include islands, because pretty much every coastal country has some, and it's difficult to say which of those are actually outlying - where do you put the boundary? Therefore I added the part "you CAN reach the part by going through another country", in other words, it must be on the same island or landmass. Secondly, I really doubted about including France, but I had to be consistent, and adding France would mean adding UK, Malaysia, Argentina (and Indonesia probably as well?) I didn't think people would accept that. UK's Shetland Islands are further away from Northern Ireland, why would the latter be the one that's the exclave, just because it shares its island with another country? @rzb333: It might be an exclave, but it's definitely not an enclave. |
