Umm, duck billed platypus should be acceptable.

Wouldn't have ever guessed hedge hog, I was thinking snake, but alas, not a mammal

Why isn't porcupine accepted? And squirrel should be acceptable.
Oct 11th, 2009 at 08:43 GMT
I agree with porcupine that's what I was trying to guess, but why would squirrel be accepted? Squirrels don't glide, just one.
Oct 11th, 2009 at 12:01 GMT
Because a porcupine is a completely different animal than a hedgehog?

The questions are stupidly ambiguous. Aim to make a quiz where if you know the answer to a question, you can be dead certain you get it scored.

echidna should be there. sea lion/ manatees should count for something. duck billed should be accepted.nice idea though

I think the questions were good... though a little too easy. Apparently all of the above people were trying to be braniacs and guess the not-so-obvious choices. Maybe add a few?
Oct 12th, 2009 at 02:20 GMT
Agree with above posters on porcupine...the most obvious spiny choice. For small mammal in water I swore up and down for otter before I typed dolphin. I think the clues just need a little work--either that, or clarify what "slightly odd" means exactly.

i agree an otter is much smaller than a dolphin, what a terrible quiz!

Pangolin fits the first clue better than armadillo

this kind of seems like a fourth grader made this

Accept sugar glider.

Terrible quiz. The clues don't narrow it down enough. For example, new world porcupines, old world porcupines, and echidnas also have spines. There are several animals that can glide. I think pangolins would work for the aradillo clue. Dolphins are a type of whale, and they aren't particularly small. Sea otters, for example, are much smaller. Bats are the only flying mammals, but there are many species of bats.
