| OK, you asked! The Stones are a dicey one; while you have today's four equal partners, you really can't say "Rolling Stones" and leave out Bill Wyman. And I'm sure you're too young to remember, but the sun rose and set on Brian Jones...and Mick Taylor gets shafted this way, too, and he's been shafted enough. Perhaps the fairest and most accurate way to do this is to say "original" band members for this quiz, because Kenny Jones took over after Keith Moon died in 1978, and you know what's happened since then...so if you say those four are the Stones based on today, then you'd have to follow that through and just say Daltrey and Townshend for the Who, do you follow me? It may be my prejudice, but Megadeth doesn't belong with this group, it's like having BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, Yugo...But it's a great idea for a quiz, and that's my two cents :) |
