It's problematic that New York isn't a correct answer for #1 (nor Boston for #2) despite the fact that they have the same hint. It would also be better if this clarified up front what leagues are covered. There are non-US (or Canada) cities that would be here based on soccer championships (Manchester, Madrid, etc.)

chicago has more than 14. 3 white sox world series, 6 bulls titles, 3 hawks stanley cubs, 9 bears titles, 2 cubs world series, (8 titles, if you count NL titles from 1876-1900), white sox would have an additional one if you count 1901.

There were NFL Championships before the Super Bowl was invented. This would put Chicago higher and even put Green Bay (12) on the list
