should clarify that you must provide the current team name...i tried spelling "whalers" about five different ways
Dec 28th, 2009 at 04:02 GMT
Or, better yet, you should just accept the old team names.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 04:20 GMT
Although this was fun, it shouldn't be published as is. What constitutes an "old logo" has no consistency here. A lot of these are the secondary logos from a couple years ago (I actually think a few might still be active) and were never used as the jersey crest or primary logo.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 04:25 GMT
make the old names acceptable
Dec 28th, 2009 at 05:23 GMT
isn't the provided Canucks logo their current third jersey?
Dec 28th, 2009 at 06:55 GMT
yeah, i also typed whalers about 10 times before realizing I should try hurricanes.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 14:31 GMT
would be great if your quiz actually worked properly. accept the old names.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 15:45 GMT
accept old names, otherwise good

i cant accept old names cuz people would just type st pats and jets and get it without actually knowing what teams they are.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 18:13 GMT
It could be an issue with my broswer, but the fifth column is cut off significantly.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 19:03 GMT
Definitely should accept Hartford Whalers and Minnesota North Stars. Those are both correct answers!
Dec 28th, 2009 at 20:04 GMT
Other than the fact that old names should be accepted, pretty good quiz. Even though some of them would be gimmes, answers like the Rockies, the Nordiques, the Whalers should be accepted. Also, the Blackhawks logo is incorrect. That's the current and correct second logo, and has been in continuous use for years. The original Blackhawks logo was just a slightly cruder looking Indian head. The Tomahawk C was never their primary logo. Sure, it'd be impossible to get wrong, but it'd actually be accurate.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 20:48 GMT
this quiz would be far better if it was properly lined up and actually worked.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 21:59 GMT
This quiz is horrible. I know all the old team names and it won't accept them. If you want people to name the current team from the old logos then say that.
Dec 28th, 2009 at 23:57 GMT
Ya definitely not accepting north stars is bad...the team name isn't in the logo so not accepting it is plain stupid
Dec 29th, 2009 at 00:51 GMT
Agreeing with everyone who wants to see the old names be acceptable answers
Dec 29th, 2009 at 02:46 GMT
absolutely terrible due to the fact that you are asking for the old name, you should accept the old name. the new team has NOTHING to do with the old team logo. very frustrating.
Dec 29th, 2009 at 03:19 GMT
I typed in both "Hartford Whalers" and "Colorado Rockies" and neither were accepted but both showed up as answers afterward.
Dec 29th, 2009 at 04:01 GMT
I stopped after it would not accept "St Pats", "Saint Pats", "Toronto St Pats", "Whalers" or "Hartford Whalers"...

not really good...it should accept the old team names as well unless you specify otherwise....would have been good other than that
Feb 10th, 2010 at 04:33 GMT
I liked this a lot, honestly it wasn't that hard to figure out that it only accepts the current team name. It just needs to be clarified in the title or description. Don't accept the old names; this keeps it a little more challenging.
Feb 15th, 2010 at 00:56 GMT
@ wgert, same problem.
Mar 21st, 2010 at 20:43 GMT
didnt the lightning have an old logo?
Mar 21st, 2010 at 20:51 GMT
so did the flyers.
Mar 30th, 2010 at 05:37 GMT
Pretty awful when I type in 5 old names based on the logo and they don't get accepted as answers (jets, st patricks, nordiques, north stars, and rockies) but when time runs out and the answers appear, they all show up as acceptable answers along with the new team names. Really great concept, but executed EXTREMELY poor.
Apr 17th, 2010 at 16:39 GMT
north stars and nordiques does not works.
May 3rd, 2010 at 22:11 GMT
Good idea but PLEASE read the comments and tka ethem into account !
May 7th, 2010 at 18:00 GMT
accept city names but greeeeeaat quiz!!
May 21st, 2010 at 04:02 GMT
Awfully executed. As well as all of the other comments above, these are not "old logos" in the sense that they were the main logo for the team (like you say Lightning, Flyers and Wild aren't included because their "logos" haven't changed). Many of these are in fact subsidiary designs and were never team "logos".
Dec 29th, 2010 at 01:54 GMT
brutal....stopped immediately - good idea though
Feb 7th, 2011 at 18:42 GMT
You just gotta figure out quickly that it accepts the current team name. And that some symbols are obviously alternates. Not perfect but fun and thats what its for.
