| Lots of omissions in this list... Pettit, Pippen, etc. But I have to disagree with the anti-Walton sentiment. Even with his shortened career, he still has a great resume. Two-time champ (one where he carried the team), regular season & Finals MVP, and a 4-year stretch as the best player in the game. IMO, he's in the right spot, but I could see switching him with Robinson. The advantage over Robinson, though, is that Robinson was never able to carry the Spurs and didn't win it all until after Duncan came around. Ewing put up good numbers but never won a title, and Mikan played when the league was still a joke (no shot clock, no black players, no goaltending). |
