	The US doesn't recognize the independence of Taiwan. Since the late 70s, the People's Republic of China has been recognized as the legitimate China in the US, although there are still some diplomatic ties and economic agreements with the Republic of China (Taiwan).

	When I saw "disputed regions", I also expected to see areas like Kashmir, where multiple countries have claims on it.

	@waverunner: I will think about do that, but no offense, I can't imagine anybody typing it that way @Riko: I thought that USA did recognize Taiwan. I will change that, but can you please help me by thinking of another description for Taiwan? Your help would be greatly appreciated. @cuendillar: I will add Kashmir. Do you think I should add Jammu and Sikkim as well though?

	Thanks for taking my suggestion. Here's a pretty inclusive list (too much so...):http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_territorial_disputes. In my opinion, take just the most famous ones. IMHO that would be the Falklands, Korean conflict, Golan Heights, Mont Blanc ant the Spratly Islands. As to Jammu, I've always mentally grouped it with Kashmir. I think the controversy about Sikkim ended in 2003. The independence movement is so negligible it doesn't really qualify. It's your quiz though, so the final call on what to include is up to you.

	@Nvjd: Yes, Jammu is just as contested as Kashmir (for most academic articles I've read, it's sourced as Jammu & Kashmir, not one or the other).
