Is it proper to include Federal League teams in this quiz? While they tried to be a major league, they were NOT affiliated with Major League Baseball.

Some quibbles: the Boston franchise of the NL's inaugural season in 1876 spent 1871-75 in the NA; the New York Giants of 1885 are the same franchise as the New York Gothams of 1883-84; and if you include the FL, why not indicate that the Brooklyn NL franchise of 1890 spent 1884-89 in the AA?

Ok some explanations: I started in 1901 because that's when the American League started, and if you went back any further than that, this quiz would be HUGE and way too difficult in my opinion. The Federal League WAS a major league. Any statistics recorded in the Federal League are included in Major League record books.

And @JMCK579, the Colt 45s only changed their name to the Astros. I thought about including former names as well as former homes, but it gets very complicated, especially when dealing with official/unofficial names. Thank for all the feedback so far, I'll look into changing the dates for the early N.L. teams.
