| I was surprised at Sid Luckman's stats, too. Football Reference has real (apparently) incomplete stats on him, including starts. For instance, in 1943, he led the league in passing yds with 2194 and tds w/28, in only 2 starts. Maybe they brought him in as a super-sub secret weapon after halftime, but the box scores doesn't give that much info. And who would use Sid Luckman as a sub? Another one of life's great mysteries. |
