The hint for October 15th kinda gives away the answer for March 15th but other than that I think it's a fine quiz.

Good quiz overall, although Trans-Dniester or Transdniestria should be allowed for Transnistria. Also, I have a 1987 quiz in my contributed games that you might want to check out.

You have a typo on Oct 3rd...should be to form, not from and the heading 'Can you name the 1990' should also be fixed. Good quiz though, nice collection.

The Provisional IRA aren't the IRA so it shouldn't accept 'IRA' for that and for October 3rd you've misspelt 'halves'. Otherwise I liked it.

It should take 'Hubble' by itself. And Dec 1 is ridiculously easy

Great quiz, but I typed it "argentina and united kingdom" and it wasn't accepted. @blackskyshining--the English Channel was created only 10,000 years ago, by glaciers, so "reconnected" works, depending on your timeframe.

I agree that it's a great quiz too (I still remember Jim Henson's death) but South African and Olympics should be capitalised. Please fix "halfs" too. And for November 28th (and this is purely stylistic), maybe re-phrase it. Using "their" gives away that you're avoiding using "his" which kind of gives away that it's Maggie Thatcher. Oh, and is there any chance of just taking "3 Tenors"?

A ninth straight US Open for Lendl? Not sure where that stat came from but it is not correct.

Lendl played in 8 straight US Open finals and won 3 (still pretty impressive), so I've reworded the question to make it accurate.

I opened this thinking this would be a quiz on the 90s (which I would have aced), rather than the year alone... but thats what happens when I go on sporcle drunk (and will prob be downvoted).

One of the most poignant things I've ever come across, at the funeral of Jim Henson, they had the Kermit the Frog puppet sat with a sign round his neck, saying "I've lost my voice"

Also the name of one of the tenors is misspelled: it's Carreras, not Careras (and in Spanish it's important, as 'r' and 'rr' differ in their pronunciation, cf. pero 'but' vs. perro 'dog').

@Scout_Number_4: considering that 22 years have elapsed since 1990, and in 17 of them Sporcle didn't exist, if 1990 "seems like only yesterday" unfortunately it means that time flies even when you aren't Sporcling.
