You should make clear that the path is the shortest path. But then comes the most serious problem. The data you list is not accurate as the shortest path. This is the danger of drawing a line on a flat map when the world is round. The shortest straight line on a globe from Reykjavik to Port Moresby actually takes you north of Scandanavia, through Russia, through Mongolia, through China over water to Port Moresby. |
