	I have included the remaining 35 players for each position (rounding out the top 50) as "bonus" answers. I have given a lot of extra time in case people want to take some extra guesses at them.

	I didn't purposefully exclude older players, but the source I used had not compiled statistics for outfield assists prior to that year.

	Typing in Coleman gives Carlos Lee because they are both tied for 15th place among left fielders with 89 assists. The same will happen if you type in Jose Cruz (who is also tied with Lee and Coleman). Likewise, typing in Bill Virdon will give you Fred Lynn because they are both tied for 15th place among center fielders with 96 assists. I chose not to fully include Coleman, Cruz, and Virdon in the interest of symmetry (sorry, I'm somewhat OCD), although they are all included as bonus answers. I chose Lee over Coleman and Cruz because Lee is easier to guess (b/c he's current) and because he will likely break the tie soon. Similarly, I chose Lynn over Virdon because Lynn is more recognizable. Sorry for the confusion.

	An interesting quiz and some nice work putting it together. but this is really more of a longevity list than a measure of defensive ability. Unless someone wants to argue Barry Bonds was the second greatst left fielder of all time.

	Your source does have a separate category for overall outfield assists. I was suggesting you use that and remove any recent players if necessary.

	I agree with cocky. And Roy White had one of the worst arms of the 70s, so this isn't necessarily a "best arms" list, though 276 kills for Clemente is a ton.

	This is definitely not a list of "best arms." Aside from the longevity point, runners are obviously more likely to attempt to run on inferior arms, thus giving those players many more chances to accumulate assists. Some of the bonus answers (e.g., Alfonso Soriano and Bernie Williams) are downright laughable if looked at as a measure of "best arms."

	this is a creative quiz but Edmonds just retired. He just retired like a week ago so its not really that important. Good quiz though

	i would say in cases of a tie include everyone. they should all count the same regardless

	Yeah, this stuff can be misleading--Bill James showed years ago that outfielders with weak arms get run on more often, and therefore have more assists. Omar Moreno, Yankee centerfielder, had tons more guys run on him than did Dave Winfield, Yankee rightfielder--even though Moreno was the centerfielder and the throw was sooo much shorter. Clemente's numbers are crazy, though!

	Some of Clemente's assists were throwing out running at first, both as force plays, and guys making too big of a turn. Supposedly he even threw out Lee May going from 3rd to home on a single.

	"Unless someone wants to argue Barry Bonds was the second greatst left fielder of all time." ....Ill take that argument...Bonds won 8 Gold Gloves in a 9 year span in the 90's...not exactly a slouch.
