	I agree with Watchmen, Sandman, and Maus, but I'd have liked to seen my favorites (yes, I'm biased) like Tank Girl. If you consider manga a graphic novel, Planetes too.

	I had to read Fun Home for an Intro to Lit class, and I have to say, it's quite good. Wonderfully written, and an interesting story, although it's somewhat autobiographical, so very different from most of the ones on this list. Was happy to see the DKR on here though. Great story.

	I was personally disappointed that no Canadian graphic novels made the cut (Chester Brown's "Louis Riel," Seth's "It's A Good Life If You Don't Weaken," Jeff Lemire's "Essex County" and Mariko and Jillian Tamaki's "Skim" are all either on par or better than half this list.) And while not Canadian, I'm surprised that David B's "Epileptic," Jeff Smith's "Bone" series, and Katsuhiro Otomo's "Akira" weren't in the running.

	Jimmy Corrigan and Fun Home are really fantastic - highly recommended. Fun Home is about the writer piecing together her youth after her father's suicide, realizing he was gay, and how that informs her own identity as a lesbian - it's very smart and subdued, an interesting choice. Jimmy Corrigan has the most unique storytelling I've ever seen - basically the perspectives Ware chooses to show indicate the main character's psychology - really cool. 	Why do I feel like Time had heard of 3 graphic novels, found a mail room clerk who read 4 more, and trolled the Internet until they got an even 10? A Top 10 list of graphic novels is just lazy. Furthermore, I love Sandman as much as the next guy, but what's Time's definition of a graphic novel vs. a series? Jimmy Corrigan and Maus are clearly graphic novels. I haven't officially read Ghost World but I think it would fit. Watchmen? Okay, it's one arc, so I'll let it slide. 10 separate volumes of Sandman is one graphic novel, though? Hell, they still had to split it into 3 books for the Absolute Edition.

	@Mutford and @disseminator: I was surprised by the lack of Bone, Akira, and Persepolis as well! I have nothing against any of the works that they did choose, I guess, it just might have included more perspectives if they'd gone to 20 or 25. I would have liked to have seen Transmetropolitan, Blankets, Cerebus, and Scott Pilgrim on their list as well. (Though, to be fair, I don't actually like huge parts of Cerebus, I just recognize it as a great graphic novel.)

	@jefrunner, I would be giving you a plus one on your comment, until I saw Scott Pilgrim on there. Always found that series to be incredibly superficial, although I think it'll translate very well to a movie. Agreed on the other stuff - we all have our favorites, but this list has to be stuff that many groups like. I would love to see "Y: The Last Man," "Swamp Thing" or "Preacher" in there, but they're a little more niche, I guess.

	I got Sandman, Watchmen, Dark Knight, Maus, and Tintin. I've heard of Jimmy Corrigan, even owned it for a class once, but I couldn't get into it, and never read it all the way through. Other than Ghost World, I hadn't even heard of the others. I completely agree that Y: The Last Man and others deserve to be on here. However, I really commented to say that Persepolis is not worthy of a top 10 or even 50 ranking. I've read it multiple times, (first for fun, repeats for classes) and it is nowhere near as good as dozens of other graphic novels I've read.

	I liked the quiz!! Although, I'm kinda bummed "V for Vendetta" wasn't on there....maybe that one's an acquired taste....
