Yah me too, when I was making this I didn't believe that Guyana was bigger than Uruguay, and that Suriname is almost as large.

@flixuk France shouldn't be on here because French Guiana is not technically part of France yet it is owned by France which means it isn't part of France and it doesn't have rights to be its own country. See Countries of N. America Biggest-Smallest for help.

NOT TRUE. France does NOT 'own' French Guiana. French Guiana is an INTEGRAL PART of France, just like Alaska and Hawaii are part of the USA. It's not a 'colony' or 'territory', it's an integral part. So France is in Europe AND South America, just like Russia is in Europe AND Asia.

I don't know, blame Sporcle. It shows on all 'bordering countries' quizzes, as France bordering Brazil.

I don't think France should be included. The reason French Guiana is not included on countries of South America quiz is because it isn't an independent sovereign state. Yes, French Guiana is a department of France (like Alaska and Hawaii are states). However, Hawaii is considered part of Oceania...so is the United States part of Oceania or North America? Definitely North America.
