Good idea! Fun quiz! Should accept "harmonic" alone though.

Triangle numbers is added now. Harmonic was already one of the accepted answers, let me know if you can recreate the error. Thanks for the feedback :)

You may want to accept "1 over n", "2 to the n", etc. Also, you might want to include busy beaver or ackermann sequence too.

Accepted "1 over n", "2 to the n", "powers of two", "power of two". Regarding other sequences, the main criterion for the quiz is how recognisable they are, so I didn't include things like Carmichael numbers, Bernoulli numbers, etc. The Ackermann sequence and busy beaver both increase rapidly so that writing the terms down becomes a problem, and I'm not sure many people know the terms?

Isn't to the power two the same thing as "doubling"?

In a term-to-term sense that is true, but "doubling" doesn't define the sequence (e.g. 3, 6, 12, 24, ...), much as "add 2" would not be acceptable for the odd numbers.

I got thrown by Catalan Numbers - time to look them up on Wikipedia...

The busy beaver sequence also has problems with being not entirely well-defined--if you change your definition of "Turing machine" slightly you may get a different sequence. I cheered when I got to the Catalan numbers; thanks for a great quiz!
