	The tagline says middle school. I learned this in HS honors chem, not middle school. What kind of middle school did you sporcle people go to?

	@lalalala: I remember learning the electromagnetic spectrum in middle school. We didn't really do anything more than memorize the order but we learned of it's existence. I wouldn't say I actually learned about it in depth until high school though when I learned electromagnetic waves.

	In the UK this gets covered in Secondary School... at age of about 14-16... dont know the US equiv of education at that point

	Cosmic rays are nothing to do with EM radiation, they're particles, mostly protons from outer space.

	Statistics for this quiz are good, but I think many people solved none, and didn't show up in statistics for that reason. :)

	I've never studied this in my life, but managed to guess six by naming types of waves I had heard of. However, Mexican Waves, Katrina and the Waves, and New Wave Music evidently didn't make the cut.

	@JoeGrzzly that portion of the spectrum is not called "color" it is called visible light, not really the same thing.

	I agree with Mr_Negative, what we (as humans) see as color is the visible part of the EM spectrum. Other organisms, i.e. bees can see "color" in the UV part of the spectrum. Thus, "color" is not a viable answer. I, too have worked with & taught remote sensing.

	@Catherine_F Because all EM radiation is "light". All of it radiates from the sun. The human eye can simply only see "Visible" light, hence the term.

	12 seconds, might have something to do with doin a chem degree. Personally think u could reduce time but then again my mum had no idea what it was about so anyone who doesnt know would struggle. The visible region isn't known as colour as generally the human eye sees it as white light but when shined thru a prism the different wavelengths are split into their individual colours
