	Challenging! I tried Hagerstown, Salisbury, Annapolis, Cumberland, and got nothing. I had to rack my brain for Baltimore & DC suburbs. And then College Park didn't make the list, either!

	Incredibly challenging (but fun anyway) for someone who has absolutely no idea of Maryland geography at all beyond Baltimore and the fact that DC is inside Maryland. I got two (yay for there actually being a place called potomac)!

	Bel Air is actually Bel Air South. Bel Air North has something like 30,000 people. So even though the census acknowledges two Bel Airs, we residents all combine North and South into one and put simply Bel Air, MD as our address. Never made sense to me. Added together, we would be a top 5 populated "city" in Maryland.

	I am sorry. I live in Maryland and I can't consider Dundalk or Essex 'cities', or really even Catonsville. You can call it a CDP, but I'm going to call it a 'town' or a 'community.'

	Of these, only Baltimore, Frederick, Gaithersburg, Bowie, and Rockville are proper incorporated cities (Bel Air is an incorporated town, but the population total given here seems to included surrounding unincorporated areas). Maryland isn't big on incorporating municipalities, because county government performs pretty much all the functions of a local government. I think it's reasonable to include or exclude the CDPs, as long as one is consistent about it.

	The only reason I knew Towson was because Elaine Benes was apparently from Towson, as mentioned in an episode of Seinfeld where Lippman calls her out as an Orioles fan.

	Well, one big city and then a bunch of amorphous blobs of people surrounding it and the other big city just outside the state. And maybe a few towns. Sort of.

	acroarcs put it accurately. Sprawl makes this one tricky. Where does Annapolis end and Edgewater begin? Same with Hyattsville and College Park. Really it's not a series of towns, but a whole bunch of burbs that do quite well to create a sea of red lights at rush hour.
