I saw this quiz and thought, "no, not MrChewyPoo!" I expected to just report the game for deletion. A brilliant swerve. 5 Orcles.

I loved how typing what I saw for number 10 got me an answer on another one

Thanks Rockgolf. I am so sick of the other idiot quizzes. This was fun to make. Some that didn't make the cut:
"Mixed Martial Arts For Dummies"
"Potty Training For Dummies"
"Anger Management For Dummies"
"Haircutting For Dummies"
And my personal favourite:
"Divorce For Dummies, 3rd Edition"
(I lol'd long time at the "3rd Edition" part...)

I had the EXACT SAME THOUGHT as rockgolf, but of course, it's a great quiz. I got all but the first one- I thought of "metalwork" and "soldering", but I just couldn't think of the word "weld".

I tried to write "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Books For DUMMIES" but couldn't find a publisher.

Pure awesomeness. I know have weekend plans- welding together a chicken coop and a beehive while talking on my new iPhone!

That is, I NOW have weekend plans- I hate it when I find a typo too late to correct it. Perhaps I need "Sporcle comments for Dummies."

Calling people dummies is a sure way to help them handle depression.

Question: If you're a dummy, should you really be attempting to learn to weld? I mean, is that safe?

There should be a Creating Sporcle Quizzes for Dummies book. You could probably write it MrChewypoo. Good quiz!

Not just is this a darn good quiz, but it's producing some pretty awesome comments- I've voted up pretty much every one in the thread. It's like the fun of two quizzes for the price of one! (Of course, the price is "free", but that's neither here nor there.)

Brilliant quiz. I especially like that you accepted 'old age' for the menopause one, although my mother may feel differently.

@redsxfenway: That was my same thought for "Anger Management for Dummies".

Man, I really hope that #7 is aimed at people thinking of going under the knife, and not practitioners. Although if the latter, "Open Heart Surgery for Dummies" would be *awesome*.

I wondered about #7 too. I got the menopause one by typing "growing old". I'm not sure I'd need a book to do that. :)

Menopause For Dummies, 2nd Edition...if there were ever a book I would want to put a decoy cover on to go out in public with - that is it. Forget Twilight, I'd carry that crap with pride given the choice between the two.

You know, if Sporcle had some kind of Dummies reading, and they required people to read it upon creating an account, it just might help filter out all these crap quizzes made by ten year olds that we keep getting.

A couple alternate answers you should consider accepting: "botox" or "facelift" for "cosmetic surgery," since that is the procedure shown on the cover, and "aging" for "menopause." I wasn't going to suggest that one until I saw in the comments that you accepted "old" or "growing old." Great quiz!

In all seriousness, I would have bought "Sporcle for Dummies" when I started making quizzes. I would still like to look up a few things, if I could. Good quiz. I love to see something different.

I just had a realization... what if you put "is" in front of "for Dummies". Changes the context quite a bit!

Wait... are you telling me that "Measuring the Circumference of Apples for Dummies" isn't a book? Someone needs to write that one ASAP.
