Fun game, MrChewypoo. I thought I was American, but my game result (15 of 60) shows that I'm exactly 1/4 Canadian. I await the sequel, which I'm hoping will show me on which side?

Awesome quiz! I kept trying k-os for 'Hallelujah', a great song which then I realized he didn't release as a single. I'm sad k-os was omitted but not everybody can make the quiz

Excellent game! I can't believe knowing Gordon Lightfoot and Stompin' Tom Connors makes me an Honourary Canadian! Also, BNL below Corey Hart and Crash Test Dummies? Way to stick a knife into the back of the most celebrated Canadian alt rock band of the mid 90s you selfish, jaded a$$!

Thanks for giving me 10% of "honorary Canadianism", but I'd rather never heard of Snow ;) And I outright refused to enter K'naan because surely he cannot be Canadian. Teaches me (for the ten-thousand-and-umpteenth time) to just enter what comes up and not question it anymore. Apart from that, nice one. Was hoping for the Arrogant Worms (one of the lesser known Canadian acts I know), but still enjoyed a lot.

I went and looked up the lyrics to "The Hockey Song" and it truly is a wonderful piece of Canadiana. When I was a young lad Stompin' Tom Connors had a weekly show on the CBC. Brings back memories.

I probably shouldn't have been hoping to see the Rheostatics on here. I would guess that most Canadians haven't even heard of them. Oh well :)

Dang, I thought that I'd finally found a quiz that would reward me for listening to Canadian bands like Die Mannequin and Metric, but apparently they're as obscure in their homeland as they are in the U.S. *sob*

I cannot believe there's not even the slightest nod to that greatest of all Canadian singers, William Shatner.
No, wait, what I can't believe is that I said that with a straight face. Great quiz, Mr. C!

@Chewy: Great quiz. I'd argue that Snow & Gordon Lightfoot should be higher up on the list since those songs made #1 & #2 US, and Teenage Head and Matthew Good Band should be in the most difficult category, but you can probably judge that by the results yourself. For an audio version, try this:

"And If Venice is Sinking", "Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone)", "Anniversary Song", and "Lost Together" are four much, much better known songs from some lesser-known (but hardly lesser quality) bands.

Cool quiz, are Canadians still proud to be called Canucks? Considering how pathetic and classless the Canuck hockey team is, I wouldn't want to be called that if I were Canadian.

Great to see its being updated a little based on the results. I'm suprised at some of the categories as they stand (eg Avril, easy peasy) - while others I'm surprised to see the categories being accurate (eg Leonard Cohen, who I thought more would know). Just goes to show you never can guess what other people will and won't know.

Wavin' Flag by K'Naan was also a big hit here in Holland, because of the Soccer World Cup of 2010. It was the unofficial theme song, so I guess it has been a big hit in more countries. Just looked it up, and it has been a really big hit in a lot of European countries, so it's not that unknown outside of Canada.

@metaMarth: I can understand being one half Canadian, 3/4ths, 5/8ths or even 9/16ths Canadian, but mathematically and biologically, how can you be 1/3rd anything? Did you have 3 parents?

I think Glass Tiger is misplaced - Don't Forget Me was a huge (#2) US hit. Got it without knowing My Town. But since I got more Honorary Canuck answers than Loonie and Hoser combined, I'm not sure my thoughts are relevant. Also, yay for Sloan!

No Bruce Cockburn? Darn. I also typed in Barney Bentall, Big Sugar, and Boards of Canada (joke), just in case. Maybe the quiz creator has something against too many B's.
