Cool! I never knew it was WHAT more in the name of love, in the chorus. I've been singing it ONE more in the name of love, all these years.

King was shot in the evening, not the early morning.

When I first heard this song as a kid, I always thought Bono sang, "Illinois, April 4 ..." I always thought, hey, Memphis is in Tennessee ...

One of my favorite songs, still, all these years later. One of the few music quizzes where I didn't even have to stop and think what the next words were - they were just there.

So its "what more in the name of love..." Interesting, I always thought it was One night in the name of love.

cocky: When U2 play the song now, the lyrics are usually corrected to 'early evening, April 4'. Bono did not know of the error until a while after the song was released.

Love how you shaded the boxes to spell out U2. I've seen them live more than 20 times over the last 30-ish years. Great band, great song.

Yeah, the "what more" got me, too. I always thought it was "one more".

In the archived comments, I facetiously asked the puzzlemaker "Can you do a quiz like this for The Presidents of The United States Of America next?"
A week later, he sends me this:

Hmm. Is it really "One man come HE to justify" or is it "One man come HERE to justify"? I always thought it was here. The latter is a more natural use of the English language, but the former could make sense if you put a comma after come. The lyrics sites (which are not trustworthy anyway) seem to have it both ways.

I think its one man washed on an empty beach, not one man washed up on empty beach, other then that pretty fun.

This song still gives me the chills. I tear up sometimes, too. I'm proud that my church (Episcopal USA) considers MLK a saint and calls him a prophet. I also love that this song extends the pride and love to other saints and martyrs and resisters. I'm glad to hear U2 are still performing it!
