	Probably really just you. Enver Hoxha was one of the worst in Europe. The only upside he had was ruling in a small country where he could kill only so many without wiping out the whole country. Not due to lack of trying, though, his more than 40 years in office would have made Stalin go "whoa, that's harsh, guy, ease up".

	Yeah Hoxha definitely qualifies, Chiang is a little less awful, but he was certainly an authoritarian ruler of a one-party state, so I have no problem with the inclusion. The only other ones I might question are Jaruzelski (who eventually came around to negotiate with Solidarity, though he cracked down hard in the early 80's) and Attila, who was a typical tribal military leader of the time, though certainly brutal to his opponents in battle.

	I think this quiz is using a rather loose definition of "dictator" and "tyrant". Very few (if anyone?) consider Ho Chi Minh to have been either, for example.

	I'm questioning Broz has "notorious" he was revered around the world and especially in Yugoslavia. He has 98 foreign recognitions. The same goes for Ho Chih Minh. Mugabe gained power via the military but is seen as a hero by many Africans. My main gripe is that this quiz seems to equate Communism/Socialism with evil. Basically, I think this quiz would be much improved if it reworded the question to be a little less negative. Obviously, all of them are authoritarian, and even dictator works. I think that "tyrant" and "notorious" lend themselves to too much controversy.

	@EpicWinFTW - Mugabe has held dubious elections, suppressed dissent and his policies have lead to economic hardship that he doesn't seem to care about. He's certainly a dictator in my book.

	"Notorious tyrant/dictator" is bound to cause controversy on several counts. The least defensible here historically, I think, is Attila. While he was certainly notorious, he was no more a tyrant or dictator than any of the Roman emperors he battled against. Like them he was simply the leader of his nation. His terrible reputation is due entirely to the fact that he was an enemy of Rome, and our history is overwhelmingly dominated by Roman accounts. The aphorism says that the winners get to write the history, but that's not always true. In many cases it's just whichever side that has a stronger tradition of written language.

	@iglew (and others): "Tyrant" nowadays tends to have a connotation of negativity, which may not necessarily the case - although it is true way more often than not. "Tyranny" in its original meaning does not mean bad government as such, but the rule of a single person without any control by others whatsoever. Similar for the term "dictator". Neither a tyrant nor a dictator has to be bad in any way. That they tend to be in practice is another matter, but this still would include many of the questioned ones. So the most you could say about Attila not being a T/D would be that he was kind of a monarch, which shares parts but not all of the definition. But even the most benevolent, wise and good-for-his-people ruler would be a tyrant if he/she did not go for fair elections and so forth.

	@Ulkomaalainen: Even aside from any connotation of negativity, I think it's hard to make the case that Attila meets the Aristotelian definition of tyrant, ie, rules without law and puts his own interest above his subjects'.
