Fun quiz, great picture choices. Hemingway should only have one M.

When did Nick Nolte and Gary Busey become the same person??

I had the usual Kevin-based conundrum, where for about 2 minutes the Klines and Spaceys in my head wouldn't allow the right answer though. Maybe accept Mao on its own, especially since that is his surname. Otherwise it's perfect.

Same for Ban.

After my eyes started to hurt, I just started guessing random famous people, which actually turned out better results than the normal way.

Christopher Walken was in Hairspray with John Travolta, who was in Pulp Fiction with Uma Thurman, who was in Batman and Robin with Arnold Schwarzenegger, who was in Terminator 3 with Claire Danes, who was featured in a sporcle quiz next to Kevin Bacon.

Thought Phil Collins was Putin... bonus answer! (I would have got Putin anyway... honest...)

Guessed Doug Henning. Felt bad that I got it wrong. Then felt bad that I remembered what Doug Henning looks like.

More people knew Honey Boo Boo than Bob Dylan or Orson Welles. What is this world coming to.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 04:37 GMT
Check back in a year or so and Honey Boo Boo's numbers will be down. She's just current, it's not a sign of the apocalypse. Probably.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 04:40 GMT
You may want to accept "2Pac" for Tupac Shakur.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 04:47 GMT
In that particular pic, Walt Disney totally looks like your cliche 1920s black and white movie villain.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 04:48 GMT
Wow, I was convinced that Diane Sawyer was Olivia Newton-John. I tried spelling it multiple ways. Fun quiz, though!
Feb 5th, 2013 at 04:52 GMT
tvfan3: Honey Boo Boo has her own TV show. She's a meme. Although her face is more recognizable (at the moment) that doesn't mean the results of the quiz correlate to general knowledge about each of them, just what they look like.

My God, what an eclectic group - Ron Jeremy and Indira Gandhi in the same bunch?! This was too much fun, even though I only got 67/100. (I typed in Armstrong for the astronaut and got Lance instead of Neil.) Definitely a favorite Sporcle--and 5 globes all the way.

Some day, maybe, I'll find out what a honey boo boo is. Probably on the same day I'll discover that Gallagher and Carrot Top are not the same person. (Actually, I hope not.) Sad that having just finished Rowling's latest and in the middle of Potter 5 with my sons, I whiffed on her. I'm sure her feelings are dashed. For T Harding, I could remember Kerrigan and Gilooly, but Tonya's name took a few seconds to recall. There's got to be a way to selectively erase crap like THAT from my memory.

Hemingway looks like an Ewok. And I could have sworn Orson Welles was the Most Interesting Man in the World. Maybe it was the head tilt.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 08:52 GMT
Howard Stern once had Brian May on his show, and they joked about being dopplegangers... they clearly had a point, since I guessed Howard for Brian May's picture (and sadly, couldn't come up with the latter's name in time).
Feb 5th, 2013 at 09:18 GMT
I think getting Douglas Adams but missing Sly Stallone could be my worst case of Sporclitis ever.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 10:01 GMT
I thought Carrot Top was Oprah and was getting really frustrated with the quiz. They are easy to mistake though because they look so much alike even when they aren't in tiny black and white photos...
Feb 5th, 2013 at 10:13 GMT
Could you please accept Barry Humphrey for the Dame Edna picture - I thought I was right but didn't get around to trying the characters name rather than the actors.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 10:26 GMT
Thought Jimmy Fallon was a young Jerry Orbach.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 10:52 GMT
Amazing quiz, but more time would be nice.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 10:56 GMT
I was convinced that Pavarotti was Castro there. I guess he'd have been smoking a cigar at least if he was going to be included here, but I was so sure...
Feb 5th, 2013 at 11:09 GMT
I got a handful by guessing the right name for the wrong person (thought Shakur was Spike Lee, got Bruce Lee; thought Aldrin was Neil Armstrong, got Lance Armstrong). I also missed a few that I knew who they were but couldn't come up with their name (Crocodile Hunter, the guy that sings that stupid Gangman song, the guy from Best in Show). And I'm bummed I didn't get Gretzky. Only hockey player I know. I must have spelled it wrong I guess, though I can't figure out how now.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 11:45 GMT
Two famous pilots in one quiz? Wow... oh, that's not Charles Lindbergh, it's Wayne Gretzky.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 12:14 GMT
Cool quiz. But if you take "Princess Kate" for Kate Middleton (which you do), you ought to take "Princess Grace" for Grace Kelly (which you don't).
Feb 5th, 2013 at 12:26 GMT
Thanks for the eye strain! Cool idea for a quiz, but I have terrible eyesight. I eventually started guessing common last names, which is actually how I got about a third of the ones I did get.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 13:15 GMT
Apparently, Amelia Earhart is the only woman in history who ever flew a plane.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 13:41 GMT
I thought for sure Chuck Norris would have had over 100%.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 13:48 GMT
For some reason I was convinced that Kevin Bacon was Jim Carrey.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 13:53 GMT
I'm sad to realize that I had Honey Booboo and Kim Kardashian whereas I missed Orson Welles and Indira Gandhi
Feb 5th, 2013 at 14:02 GMT
Great quiz, but for Dame Edna, you should accept just the surname 'Everage' as this is accepted for most other entries. Also Barry Humphrey ('her' real name), as Oldbogie mentioned. After trying both of those and it not flashing as correct, I was very confused.
Feb 5th, 2013 at 14:29 GMT
Has anyone ever seen Chuck Norris and Tim Allen in the same room together?
Feb 5th, 2013 at 15:03 GMT
My inner dialogue: "HELL YEAH! BRIAN MAY!!!! (pause) Geez, Honey Booboo? Really???"
Feb 5th, 2013 at 15:39 GMT
how could no one get Douglas Adams!!!
