Really interesting and original quiz. I think number 5 could be any tiger really; I kept thinking of Tigger (I was probably on that track because of Piglet). Maybe you could accept alternates, or perhaps adding a strip of red for the bandana would make it more clear that it's supposed to be Tony.

Thanks! There is a strip of red there for Tony... that's what I was going for (and he seems to have a blue nose and yellow eyes more often than not). This was more of a challenge putting together than I had originally thought. I wasn't happy with my R2 and Elmo, and that seems to be highlighted in the results! I'm already thinking how to improve for a sequel.

The bottom half of Wonder Woman looks like Cartman lol.

Ah I see the red now, sorry. It looked orange to me at first, but I've always had trouble distinguishing the two.

I looked at this and thought, "This is stupid and impossible." Then I took it and thought, "This is possible and clever." Nicely done! I don't think it would hurt to add a little more time--certainly this isn't one of those "well you could just type in every possibility" quizzes.

I really thought 9 was Pitfall Harry, from the old Atari 2600 game, but apparently he had green pants and a more pink face. Nicely quiz!

Cool idea. But I have to say 2 looks nothing like R2-D2 at all.

@mehmeh53... yeah, I know. My bad. 25% thought otherwise though. I toyed with Darth Vader instead but it was just a black blob.
@casusity: You are very correct... Pitfall rocked! Good call.

Maybe add a black border around #2 so you can use true white instead of light gray. That completely threw me off. Great quiz regardless, though.

I thought #9 looked like Mr. Garrison and #6 was Gumby. I don't know why I thought Gumby wore purple. Still, great quiz!

Thanks all for the kind comments. I created a second one... I personally thought it was easier but give it a go and see for yourself:

Great quiz. Did anyone else type "Hobbes" for Tony the Tiger?

Awesome quiz. I personally got R2, just had to think about it a bit. Only one I missed was Elmo, although I see him clearly now.

I thought this was an odd quiz until I tried it, and it turned out to be a lot of fun! I thought for sure number 9 was Peter Griffin for the family guy though!

Peter Griffin has green pants, a white shirt, a belt and reddish brown hair. Maybe I'll include him if I do another one. Thanks!

This is what I hate about Sporcle. The unpopular quizzes are never discovered. This is a brilliant and original quiz. Loved it so much I actually cared to nominated it. Kudos, Chewy.

Wow. This is a great quiz. When I first saw it I thought it would be impossible, but it was actually suprisingly easy with some thought. You did a great job picking characters who can be recognized from just a few colors.

Wicked quiz, it's so cool, once you know who it is, it's almost like looking at a picture of them and you can't see them as anything else. The only thing is, I thought Shaggy was Jon Arbuckle, Garfield's owner, and once I'd seen him, I couldn't unsee him.
