I'm a little skeptical of using two people from the same movie, and of using a photo from a stage performance (perhaps a note to that effect, so that people don't sit there trying to figure out what movie that is). I'm also a little surprised by the photo from Constantine--Wikipedia tells me the character is androgynous, not male, but even more because you could have used her in Orlando.

Great quiz. I'm a little surprised you didn't include Linda Hunt from The Year of Living Dangerously.

Thanks for the feedback. I personally liked the idea of throwing a curve ball with including two from the same movie/scene. Interesting that 75% are getting one of them but only 50% getting the other. Regarding Constantine, I thought Gabriel is quite traditionally male. I'll have to research that. God is more liberal than I had assumed!

That picture of Anne Hathaway looks like the Public Theatre production of Twelfth Night from a couple years ago, which was wonderful, but not a movie (as your column heading states).

Also, please consider accepting Lea Salonga for Mulan. She is the singing voice, and the image you selected is actually during one of the songs.

good job but quiz would be better and more challenging if you had to name both the actress and the movie.

Travesty that Linda Hunt is not included. She was the first person to win an Academy Award for playing a person of the opposite sex.

Agreed on Twelfth Night... I'll swap that one out tomorrow for a recommended and brilliant oversight. Cheers!

wow! whoopie was completely unrecognizable!! If you want a curveball, even though it was a television movie, Merly Streep was completly unrecgonizable as a male Rabbi in Angels in America. Just type in "Merly Streep Angels Rabbi" into google images. It's the first and third hit.

Sean Young doesn't fit the category, if I'm reading things correctly. In Ace Ventura, she didn't play a character who wanted to be or dressed as a man. She played a man dressed as a woman.

anyone else completely surprised by the fact that gutless from Hook was played by a woman? That's the sign of an amazing make-up department.
