[Title card appears]
Lucas: I'll fix you some supper now. Joe: What are we having tonight? Lucas: Oh, big surprise, what we didn't finish last night.
[George stands up from table]
George: Way back, there must have been some major link between marine and terrestrial life.
[Creature reaches up out of water, grabs bird sitting on log, and pulls it under]
[George presses down on plunger, and several charges go off underwater]
Announcer: Very shortly now the gill-man will be fed. Scientists are still investigating his diet.
Clete [to Helen]: It was a real break finding you here.
Helen [to Clete]: I know something about your work, and I was quite impressed when I heard you were coming. You're not at all like I expected.
Clete [to Helen]: What are you doing for dinner tonight?
Announcer [about porpoise]: Flippy has been taught to retrieve objects on command.
[Flippy rolls over]
Clete: Now the most important thing is not to become so interested you get careless. Helen: Oh, you don't have to worry about that.
Clete [to Helen about Creature]: He's a little gun-shy. You better attract his attention.
[Joe falls into pool with Creature]
[Creature looms above girl in pigtails]
Clete: I think a poet once said...
Clete [to gathered policemen]: I want to impress upon you once again something the captain said before. Don't take any chances.
Clete [to gathered policemen]: This is a thinking creature we're hunting … as strong as any 10 of you. 2 men have already lost their lives tonight.
Policeman [on radio]: Remember your instructions. The professor is in command from now on. You take orders from him!
