That was way more clever than I expected. A real treat. Thank you.

Who's playing to this? How is Stairway so low?

"Oh neat," I said as I started this quiz. "One of those quizzes where if you don't know the answer to one half, you at least have the chance of guessing based on the other half." Cue all the ones I'd never heard of being paired with each other.

awesome idea for a quiz - brilliant job!

Some of these are incredibly clever. In some ways, the best bit of the quiz was the headings! Please make sequels.

Great idea, sequel please! (how about e.g. "But I couldn't find a way, So I'll settle for one day to believe in you" & "What you gonna do when it all comes out, When I really see you and what you're all about"; Fleetwood Mac-Little Lies & Black Eyed Peas-Don't Lie?)

Misery Business and Feel Good Inc. That's awesome!

I agree that this is a really fun and clever quiz. One question: why credit "Leaving on a Jet Plane" to John Denver when Peter,Paul, and Mary had the original version?
Feb 11th, 2013 at 03:04 GMT
@willwoodlen Because John Denver wrote it. From Wikipedia: ""Leaving on a Jet Plane" is a song written by John Denver in 1966 and most famously recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary. The original title of the song was "Babe, I Hate to Go" but Denver's then producer Milt Okun convinced him to change the title." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leaving_on_a_Jet_Plane

It seems to me that the real opposite of "Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head" would be "Walking on Sunshine" (Rain overhead, sunshine underfoot.)
Feb 11th, 2013 at 04:43 GMT
Great quiz ... though I'd like to have seen the Black Crowes where Jason Mraz is :)
Feb 11th, 2013 at 04:45 GMT
also Whisper by Evanescence might be the best opposite to the Isley Bros. song
Feb 11th, 2013 at 12:52 GMT
My first thought was "Careless Whisper" by George Michael...though I like the Evanescence song more...
Feb 11th, 2013 at 12:53 GMT
After seeing "Stairway to Heaven" - did anyone else start typing "Highway to Hell" afterwards - without even looking at the lyric?
Feb 11th, 2013 at 14:45 GMT
Very clever quiz with 2 of my favourite songs as a pair! (Feel Good Inc. and Misery Business)
Feb 11th, 2013 at 17:48 GMT
That Misery Business lyric is a favourite of mine.
Feb 12th, 2013 at 15:39 GMT
100 points for Feel Good Inc/Misery Business. Brilliant.

Can you accept "Raindrops Keep Fallin' On My Head"? I've seen it this way in numerous sources.
Feb 14th, 2013 at 14:12 GMT
I think I have been stuck in a music rut for about forty years. I was hoping for a bonus for Stairway to Freebird.
Feb 22nd, 2013 at 22:13 GMT
At the last 5 seconds, I was like "it could be raindrops keep falling on my head"...but I ran out of time.
Mar 11th, 2013 at 07:22 GMT
Potential pair for a sequel: "She's So Heavy"/"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother."
