	And the Red Wings only had a 75 year head start. Settle down, piepatrol. But yes, Detroit is definitely Hockeytown. If you want to keep St Paul, why not Pigs Eye? Ive always heard St Louis called the Gateway to the West. And apparently Hershey is Chocolate Town, not Chocolate City, because I kept trying that.

	I refuse to call Detroit Hockeytown. No American town outside of northern Minnesota deserves that name... not even St. Paul. I live in the Twin Cities and have never heard St. Paul called that... it's just the capital of the State of Hockey.

	The period is commonly used to mark abbreviations, which "D.C." (from "District of Columbia") and "St." (from "Saint") are examples of. I hope this answers your question.

	There are soo many issues with this quiz chocolate city - Hersey Happy Valley - while Provo may call itself that ANY College sports fans instantly think of State College as Happy Valley Gateway to the west - ST LOUIS - I didn't realize they moved the GATEWAY ARCH to Omaha

	I can't stand Red Wings fans as much as the next guy, but Detroit IS Hockeytown. I've got plenty of other gripes with this quiz, but too many to list. I suppose it's my own fault for committing my precious time to a quiz whose reference is Wikipedia.

	Dallas is the BIG D not the Bid D. Here's a few more suggestions for you: Space City = Houston Alamo City = San Antonio Queen City = Charlotte and Cincinnati City of Five Flags = Pensacola.
