**READ ME** YES..the writer for the Bleacher Report is CLUELESS but I thought this would be FUN. No KOBE/SHAQ/? = NO CREDIBILITY especially with the non Jordan Bulls team on this list. Last names are o.k. Don't hate the quiz creator...hate the writer. Have fun.

There are several typos in this and some of the names are only accepted if you type in the full name.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 05:11 GMT
hmmm I'll dcheck it again. I know there was a glitch where Johnson wasn't accepted on all answers.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 05:15 GMT
Robinson, Duncan and Avery Johnson belong on here somewhere. Not all these trios won a ring but they did.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 05:18 GMT
YEAH..as I stated as soon as I saw that Kobe/Shaq and whoever was not on this list all credibility was shot AND they had Pippen Armstrong and Grant. The writers at Bleacher need to be SHOT. But I still thought it was fun when I made it. I fixed the errors...let me know if there are any more.

Third guy in the first Bulls trio requires typing the last name twice. The third guy in the #29 Sonics team is misspelled.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 05:50 GMT
You misspelled McDaniel, Tripucka, and Schrempf. Also, I have no respect for a list that includes a Wizards team that never won a playoff series and does not include Shaq-Kobe-Rice or Shaq-Kobe-Fish or Shaq-Kobe-Fox or Shaq-Kobe-Payton (4 NBA finals, 3 titles)
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 06:26 GMT
i'll fix it now

I agree purplebackback...thats what I mentioned in the instructions and here in the 1st comment...as a Laker fan I am disgusted.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 11:42 GMT
You misspelled Jamaal Wilkes.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 12:15 GMT
who missed MICHAEL JORDAN....that is the 1st name you type in on ANY NBA quiz. smh

I get the impression this list was made as a not so subtle dig at the Heat. Oh, Bleacher Report, why do you exist.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 15:21 GMT
Now, I dig me some Muggsy Bogues, but it's hilarious that a "big three" includes a guy who can't get on all the rides at Disneyland. Thanks for the quiz.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 16:40 GMT
I'm a retard for missing Bird.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 16:59 GMT
alright I'm as big a Heat (read ledouche) hater as anyone but to leave them off and include arenas/jamison/butler is absurd. whoever wrote this is a jackass

The writer is an idiot, but the author of this quiz needs to realize the article was written seven months ago. In particular, there are two disclaimers:
a) In order to make this list, the trio has to have led their respective team to at least one playoff appearance.
b) it's all about three stars, instead of two superstars and a role player.
That's why Miami and the Bryant/ONeal duo are left off. It doesn't make the article any less stupid, though.

Glen Rice was on Kobe and Shaq's first title team. I'd say that was a pretty good trio.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 18:13 GMT
This is ridiculous, James Wade and Bosh are all all-stars and have been for years. They are about to dummy every team in the league in a max of 5 games each. In 3 on 3 they would dominate every other group no exceptions

@Moise: Great game. No one should hold it against you that the source sucks. Yes, it was entertaining even if the source is pretty ignorant. Sometimes with these Bleacher Report games half of the fun is trying to figure out what kind of ridiculousness they might have come up with. I'd give it 4 1/2 globes if that was possible.

@sub: Then I could make the argument that they didn't stick to their premise. If that is really their argument for excluding Shaq and Kobe then Stockton and Malone have no business on this list either beacuse Jeff Hornacek certainly wasn't a star. I'd argue that Horace Grant wasn't a star, and never would have even been considered in the conversation if he didn't play on that particular team. Other "role players" on this list, or at least players who are not, and never were, considered "stars" are guys like Bill Laimbeer, Mike Bibby, K.C. Jones, Jeff Green, etc. Again, just more proof that Bleacher Report sucks.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 21:14 GMT
@Camden...thx and you saved me the trouble of doing what you did. Actually since when is BJ Armstrong a star...lol @Sub...umm I realize when it was written...how could I not, as I've mentioned several times...I thought it would be FUN.

@pUBLIC eNEMY...SOMEONE MISSED jORDAN...SO DON'T FEEL BAD.
Jun 2nd, 2011 at 22:55 GMT
I wasn't a big fan of the Shaq/Kobe Laker teams, but the main 2 were so dominating that Shaq, Kobe and my 5-10, 220 pound body (not to mention the 12 inch vertical) could have made the top trio over some of these ham and eggers.
Jun 3rd, 2011 at 01:04 GMT
KC Jones being on here over the likes of legitimate hall of famers like Bill Sharman, Sam Jones, and Bailey Howell was my first indication that the writer was a complete idiot.
Jun 3rd, 2011 at 02:03 GMT
Why does Ray Allen's last name not show up?
Jun 3rd, 2011 at 02:19 GMT
hmmm, number 17 kind of looks like 3 of the best 15 players of all time....manu ginobili and tony parker, notsomuch.
Jun 3rd, 2011 at 02:40 GMT
you could put shaq, kobe, and a chair above some of the trios on the bottom half of this list. weird.
Jun 3rd, 2011 at 06:17 GMT
Agreed statephone....the Bleacher report guys are basketball MORONS.
Jun 3rd, 2011 at 10:52 GMT
I thought they didn't include the 2011 Heat because they hadn't done much yet, but they put the THUNDER on this list!
Jun 5th, 2011 at 15:50 GMT
@sub: if its about three stars not two stars and a role player then what is jeff green doing on here with durant/westbrook?
