What does this have to do with the NASDAQ? Most of these are on the NYSE.

NASDAQ should be deleted from the title, it confuses things. Many of these are traded on the NYSE (example Ford).

@fasttrack: The spelling is correct. Loews (L) is movie theaters. Lowe's (LOW) is hardware stores.

Loews is a conglomerate of the Tisch family... it's not just movie theaters... it's also offshore drilling, insurance, hotels, etc.
